See the cottages

Bath County has drawn visitors to its mineral springs for more than two centuries. The villages of Hot Springs and Warm Springs are about 50 minutes north of The Inn at Firmstone Manor, an easy day trip that ends back at your cottage.

The Omni Homestead

The Homestead is a historic resort on more than 2,000 acres in Hot Springs. Its spa uses the area's natural mineral springs, and it has two golf courses and seasonal activities across the property. If you're planning a spa treatment, a round of golf or dinner there, book ahead.

The Warm Springs Pools

A few miles north in Warm Springs, the historic bathhouses once called the Jefferson Pools were restored by the Omni Homestead and reopened in December 2022. The spring water stays warm all year. Soaks are by reservation through the resort, so call before you go.

Garth Newel Music Center sits between Hot Springs and Warm Springs and holds chamber music concerts through the year, a good way to end a day in the valley.

Make it a loop

Come home by heading south on US-220 toward Covington. About 7 miles before town, Falling Spring Falls drops from an overhanging ledge right beside the road, with a scenic wayside to stop and look. Just west of Covington, Humpback Bridge is an 1857 covered bridge with a picnic area. From Covington it's a short drive east on I-64 back to the inn.
