A historic inn in the Alleghany Highlands

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Super clean, very comfortable, excellent communication, very well appointed in kitchen and bathroom. Host obviously take great pride in making sure their guests want to come back again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was a fantastic little oasis. My husband and I decided less than 2 weeks before our trip on Michael and Brian quaint cottage and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision. While the weather didn’t cooperate, the accommodations were fantastic. They thought of everything from the most comfy bed and large thick towels to special local sweets. The cottage was close to many wineries, breweries and hiking (the natural bridge is a must). We will definitely be back.

Immaculately clean!! I love a comfortably clean Airbnb. Nice small details too- soft sheets, fluffy towels, and snacks! We used this as a jumping off spot to go to the new river gorge one day and then the hot springs another day. This was one of my favorite airbnbs. I would definitely recommend it. Plus they have other airbnbs next door so you could fit a group possibly.

This property is absolutely amazing. We stayed during Parents Weekend at W&L. Brian and Michael were excellent hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay welcoming and comfortable. Check in is very easy. Baked goods and local beverages were delicious and fresh flowers were such a special touch. This is an easy 20-25minute drive to campus and a nice getaway from all the crowds in town. Book it, you’ll be glad you did!

Michael's place was amazing! Loved every minute of it. Very peaceful & has a beautiful view of the mountains. The host went above & beyond in welcoming me with beautiful flowers and tasty Muffins! I loved being able to wake up & sniff the flower arrangements! The bed was very comfortable and awesome shower pressure. I did not want to leave. I will be back...Best host & airbnb I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.

So glad I found gem of a place to stay! It is my happy place. It’s so cozy and peaceful and I appreciate all the attention to detail—the fresh flowers, craft beer and blueberry muffins. Brian and Michael have thought of everything with big fluffy towels and cook’s kitchen. I will definitely be back. I would give it ten stars if I could!

Our cottage was beautiful. Michael and Brian were absolutely amazing!! The location is pristine. We had a wonderful getaway in the mountains. The cottage was the perfect place to relax after long days of hiking. We will definitely be back soon!!!

Awesome place great people

Micheal & Brian’s place was perfect! The kitchen was well equipped, the king bed was incredibly soft, one of the best night sleep my partner & I have had at an air b&b. This is a gem, we will definitely be back. There’s lot of hiking and cute nearby mountain towns such as Lexington, VA which was recommended by our hosts.

me and my husband was there as work trip but i tell you Micheal and Brian have a beautiful place to stay. It was well decorated and very clean.The bed was so comfy we slept like babies.And also apon our arrival we were left treats and there were a beautiful set of flowers.We did not get to meet the host,but we highly recommend this place to stay.Wedefinately will stay again when duty calls us yo be up that way.

The kitchen house is beautiful. The decor is so charming and it is very clean. We loved the local baked goods and ciders provided by the host. The fresh flowers were also a thoughtful touch. There is so much attention to detail. The property and gardens are also beautiful. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely rent again if we are in the area.

Michael's apartment was a very welcome escape from the crowded city. It is remote in the best way possible -- close to the interstate and an easy drive but quiet and peaceful with nice amenities that made it easy to just stay put (great wifi, full kitchen, a/c, etc). The location is 15 minutes away from great hiking at the state park and a little farther to explore the cute towns along Interstate 81. It was very welcoming for our dog, who appreciated the peace and quiet and enjoyed all the sniffs on the large property. The apartment would be great for one or two couples or a family with small kiddos. Highly recommended!

Great place, highly recommend. Michael and Brian were very gracious host. They happened to be outside while I was grabbing something from the car and didn't hesitate to tell me if I needed anything to not hesitate and ask. Beautiful land as well. Wish I time to explore the area.

Came for a friend’s wedding and found this awesome place to stay, especially for those who enjoy a more intimate and quiet place. Clean and modern interior, and right next to a really cool mansion. Amazing deal for the place you get to stay. Also, Brian and Michael were wonderful host throughout the entire stay. Will definitely be coming back to them if we’re in the area!

In town for mountain biking and it was 20 minutes from Douthat, perfect location! We loved everything about this place, it was perfect for our needs! Mattress was a too soft but that's just a personal preference. Will definitely stay here again, and if you have multiple parties renting a bunch of these cottages at once would be so much fun!

We had a great stay and would definitely come back again if we're staying in the area. It was very clean, easy to access, the hosts were very friendly and proactive. The location is a convenient distance from Lexington, Hot Springs, Warm Springs, etc. Don't hesitate to stay here 😊
