Choose a cottageThe Inn at Firmstone Manor is three private cottages on a historic 13-acre estate just outside Clifton Forge, Virginia. Each one has been fully renovated, with its own entrance, a full kitchen, a tiled walk-in shower, air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi and mountain views. The cottages sit side by side next to the 1873 manor house, so you can book one for a quiet getaway or all three for a family or group of up to 10.
Which cottage is right for you?
- Cape Cod: one bedroom with a king bed, for up to 2 guests. A single-level bungalow from the 1930s Lucy Selena motel, made for couples and solo travelers. Adults only, and no pets.
- The Station: two bedrooms (one king, one queen) over two floors, for up to 4 guests. Built in the 1930s as a roadside service station. Children and pets are welcome.
- Kitchen House: two bedrooms (one king, one queen) on one level, for up to 4 guests. The estate's original kitchen house, beside the manor. Not suited to children under 10, and no pets.
Every cottage has self check-in with a keypad, linens and towels, and plenty of room to spread out after a day at Douthat State Park, the Omni Homestead or downtown Lexington.

Questions guests ask
Yes. The three cottages sit next to each other on the estate and sleep up to 10 guests in all, which works well for families, wedding parties and groups.
The Station welcomes pets. Cape Cod and Kitchen House are pet-free.
Children and infants are welcome at The Station. Cape Cod is for adults, and Kitchen House isn't suited to children under 10.
Each cottage has a keypad, so you can let yourself in from 3 p.m. without meeting anyone. You'll get your code before you arrive.
The person booking must be at least 25.
