Brian Deacon and Michael Carland purchased Firmstone Manor in November 2018.  It was in dire shape and needed considerable “help”!  We have been working tirelessly over the last few years to bring the property back to its original status.  It’s been a labor of “love” restoring Firmstone Manor as well as all the cottages on the property.

Our goal for Firmstone is to create an exquisite event center with on-site accommodations.  We are currently working on 2 cottages and will have a total of 10 cottages with full kitchens available for our guests.  later in 2024

The Inn at Firmstone Manor is an event center with accommodations located in Alleghany County, Virginia between Clifton Forge and Lexington.  Boasting an old Manor built by Harry Firmstone in 1873 that is in the process of restoration along with the other cottages on the 16-acre property.

Our vision when we are done is to be able to host private events, group retreats, and open an upscale farm-to-table restaurant.  This year (2023) we will have approximately 4 of the 9 cottages completed.  Each cottage will have at least 1 king-size bedroom, full kitchen, and upscale bathroom.   Our focus is offering our guests a unique stay in the Alleghany Highlands.
